We all carry residue. From our stories, our work, our wounds. Instead of stuffing it down or dragging it like chains, we burn it, bend it, & transform it into power, presence, & art.
Emotional Alchemy Lab™
HI THERE. WE’RE THE EMOTIONAL ALCHEMY LAB.
We know the weight you carry. The residue of hard conversations, the stuck emotions, the unspoken stories that cling long after the moment has passed. Most people try to numb it, outrun it, or pretend it isn’t there. Not us. We believe that residue is raw material, & when you learn to work with it, you don’t just survive it—you shape it into something alive, electric, & sustaining.
This space is where therapy, art, & soul-work collide. Where mess becomes material. Where mess becomes material. Where nervous systems can breathe, & creativity becomes ritual. We experiment, we mark-make, we play with fire. & what comes out on the other side isn’t just catharsis. It’s clarity, presence, & a kind of power that sticks with you long after the paint has dried.
Where my story meets yours: Why Emotional Alchemy Exists
I’ve always been fascinated by what happens in the in-between. You know, the space where things feel unfinished, messy, even impossible—yet, if you stay with it long enough, something unexpected begins to take shape. That’s alchemy.
For me, it started young. I grew up anxious, depressed, and hiding more than I wanted to admit (for example, a pretty impressive version of an eating disorder). My first therapist was the kind of person who could sit in the mess without flinching. She didn’t rush me or try to tie it all up with a bow—she just stayed. But she also didn’t let me bullshit my way out of doing the work of healing. That experience planted a seed I wouldn’t fully recognize until much later: transformation doesn’t come from avoiding the mess, it comes from entering it.
At first, I thought my path was design. I earned my BFA, spent over a decade in nonprofit marketing and brand development. It was in that work where I learned how to tell stories that move people. But the longer I worked, the more I noticed that the best logos, taglines, and campaigns were only as powerful as the human truth underneath them. People weren’t craving polish. They were craving connection.
That realization pulled me deeper into psychology, art, and leadership. I became a counselor, yes, but also a pushed into my work as a painter, a teacher, a board leader, a coach & consultant. I’ve spent my life moving between studios, classrooms, and boardrooms, always circling back to the same question: how do we take the raw material of our lives—our residue, our longings, our contradictions—and shape it into something whole?
That’s where the Emotional Alchemy Lab™ comes in. This space isn’t a clinic. It’s not a gallery. It’s not a business incubator. It’s a living experiment where all these worlds collide. Where therapists, artists, leaders, and visionaries come to work the material of their lives into something fuller.
In the Lab, psychology meets paint. Leadership meets vulnerability. Faith meets creativity. Business meets soul. It’s a place for people who are tired of performing, tired of perfection, tired of doing what they “should,” and ready instead to risk being real. Ready to create, to play, to dare, to grow.
I believe there are no wrong marks. Not on the canvas. Not in therapy. Not in business. Not in the story of your life. Every stroke, every failure, every half-formed attempt is part of the process. The Lab exists to remind us of that—and to create the conditions for transformation.
So, if you’re a therapist carrying residue from your clients, a leader who feels burned out and disconnected, or a creative who’s lost your spark, Emotional Alchemy is about more than fixing problems. It’s about cultivating a life that feels alive, aligned, and worth living.
Because the real masterpiece isn’t the painting on the wall. It’s you.
